Here’s hoping that all of you have a wonderful holiday spent with friends and family.
We are heading north to Jon’s Nonna’s for our traditional Easter Sunday Brunch, and then farther north into West Virginia for the night at his parents.

To leave you with something Easter worthy, here are the cupcakes I made yesterday. Based loosely on Bakerella’s theme, mine turned out better than I imagined. Good enough to pass off to the little kiddies at brunch, anyway. I hope they will like them.

If you are traveling, be safe. And no matter where you are, even though it isn’t Thanksgiving, maybe give a little extra hug to those you love. You never know what the future holds, and sometimes you just don’t get another chance. My heart, as well as so many others in the blogging community, goes out to Mike and Heather for the tragic loss of their precious Baby Maddie. I cannot begin to imagine how it feels to lose a child. I just can’t grasp it. Remember to wear purple on Tuesday, in honor and rememberance of her too short life. She will be missed.
