Maybe you are like my family. Maybe all families are like mine during the holidays…traveling. Do you get to stay at home all those days you have off, or are you loaded up on a 5 hour trek across two states to visit family? 
Do you feel like you need a break from your break when you get back? I know I do…traveling is tough. And now that we have Seven, it’s even tougher. The child thinks his girlfriend is Taylor Swift. Not that she isn’t pretty, or rich, or ever-so-humble, I just think maybe she’s a little old for him. And hearing her on an iPod loop for 4 hours can be a little exhausting if you get my drift. But even with all that teenage angst going on, I still know that Seven is safe and sound in his Eddie Bauer Car Seat. You should have seen our local police officer (all 250 pounds of him) wedged up in the back of our truck on his knees making sure it was properly installed. I wish I had thought to take a photo. I do. It was priceless.

Is Seven rear-facing or forward-facing? In that pic, it looks like his shoulders are above the belt slot, which is fine for RF, but if he's FF, then he may have outgrown his seat…

Oh, I remember the days when kids were thrown into the back of a staion wagon with a few blankets and pillows and off we'd go across the country to see Grandma. Scarry times. I'm so grateful that when I had my own kids car seats had been invented– tons of reasons to have them straped in . . . great post!
