It’s hard to pick a color! I think I’d go tangerine. It’s a happy color! Thanks Susan for another great giveaway.
My most treasured kitchen memory is our annual Christmas cookie decorating party growing up. My mom was the queen of cookies. The Betty Crocker old school cookbook covered with cookies is forever imprinted in my mind!

My favorite color KitchenAid mixer is RED. The red speaks to my heart because I love baking and sharing with people.
My fondest kitchen memory was following my grandmother Martha Clark Mosely around the kitchen. She make everything from scratch — biscuits, cakes, cobblers and all of her food. I’d spend summers with her and finally asked her to teach me how to cook because my mother couldn’t cook. She made flour and water pancakes and we put syrup on them. There wasn’t enough syrup to take away that awful taste! Anyway, grandma showed me how to cook and bake when I was 9 years old. When my mother and father came back to pick my brothers and I up to go home, I told them that I knew how to cook. Neither one of them believed me. My grandmother told them I knew what to do, and to just give me a stool to stand on. When we got back home, I made my shopping list and my mother took me to the store. I bought everything I needed and when I got home the dinner was prepared just like Grandma showed me. My father looked at my mother and said she didn’t have to cook again. LOL The funny thing is that my mother learned to cook when we were all grown and now she’s an incredible cook.
My most treasured Kitchen Memory is of a night spent in my family’s kitchen over winter break when I was in college. I had received a cookbook for Christmas, and I decided to bake one of the more ambitious recipes: a chocolate Baumkuchen, or Yule log cake. It involved multiple steps, including baking thin layers of sponge cake, whisking ganache, and generally lots of mixing, spreading, melting and rolling. My entire family got involved, and I remember the five of us hanging around the kitchen, dipping our fingers in the ganache, talking while the cake layers baked, remeniscing and laughing together. The finished Baumkuchen was a marvel – with its dozens of concentric chocolate circles, chocolate “bark” and powdered sugar “snow,” it looked just like a freshly cut tree trunk from some wintry forest. So much has changed since that holiday evening. My parents are divorced, my siblings and I are scattered across the country, and I have kids of my own now. With so many miles between us, I don’t know if my family will ever be all together in the same house again, much less baking in the same kitchen. But I’ll always have the memory of that night, when we were still laughing, loving, and baking… together.

I have some wonderful memories of making fresh pasta with my best friend’s mother. My mom did VERY little cooking and baking, so I relished the time I was able to spend in my neighbor’s kitchen
well, red to match my eyes? no, probably blue.

my most favorite memory would be this summer when my newest young one was in her baby carrier, and her sister and I stood together making pink (beet) bread. there was nothing in particular about the afternoon, just togetherness and laughter. It was the first of many times we have done this.

Favorite baking memory. When I lived with my grandparents and aunt, they lived in an old farmhouse with no running water or electricity. Baking day was always special. Aunt Rose let me and my brothers have our own bread dough to shape any way we anted. The combination of the wood stove smell and the baking bread was wonderful.
Mostly, though, it was just three little kids patting and rolling dough into little shapes, animals and letters until the dough was totally exhausted, I’m sure. Then we got to eat our special rolls with homemade butter and chokecherry jelly.
The smell of baking bread means home.
I think I would want the Ice, Empire Red, or Buttercup color. I’m a indecisive cook sometimes!
My favorite kitchen memory is simple yet very special to me, learning how to make fudge, brownies, and homemade caramel with my mom. She always made me feel so important, measuring out ingredients and letting me stir, mix, and of course lick the spoon. She has taught me a lot about cooking and baking. She never had a stand mixer, so if I win this, I’ll be sharing it with her for sure, to help pay her back for all the the patience she had teaching me her baking/cooking skills.

I think I would like red, because it’s bold. Or yellow because it will look good in my kitchen. But so will orange…oh let’s just stick with red!

Without a doubt my favorite Kitchenaid memory is shortly after I got engaged, wr hadn’t even registered yet, my grandmother pulls me aside and tells me “for your wedding present I’m getting you a Kitchenaid stand mixer, because every woman needs one in their kitchen” I had no idea how true those words were!! (I just wish I’d taken better care of it while moving…)

I want a boysenberry colored one….I just love that new color!!!
pear
My most treasured memory is cooking with my toddler, he helps make pretels from scratch, is an excellent mushroom chopper, loves to mix up quiche and help roll out pie crust as well as taste test all frosting and cookie concoctions…..he actually begged me to make scones to take to the neighbor that was up visiting over Memorial Day weekend…….I hope that we can use the boysenberry kitchen aid mixer together to make desserts as well as using the grinder and pasta attachments to make homemade hotdogs, his favorite food that he said he wants to learn to make at home, as well as knowing that his 4 year old skills will soon surpass mine with all his enthusiasm and practice!
thanks for the chance to win!
